If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use this Site. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, so please check for changes to these Terms each time you use this Site. Your continued use of this Site following the posting of changes to these Terms means that you accept those changes.
Licenses and Restrictions. This Site is owned and operated by the General Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists ("we", "us", or a similar term), located at 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904, United States of America. You may view, download, and print material from this Site only for your personal, noncommercial use unless otherwise indicated. In addition, materials from this Site may be reproduced by media personnel for use in traditional public news forums unless otherwise indicated. You may not post material from this Site to another website or on a computer network without our permission. You may not transmit or distribute material from this Site to other websites. You may not use this Site or information found at this Site (including the names or addresses of those who have submitted information to this Site) to sell or promote products or services, to solicit clients, or for any other commercial purpose. We reserve sole discretion and right to deny, revoke, or limit use of this Site, including the reproduction and any other use of any material available through this Site.
About VividFaith. VividFaith is a virtual community that connects people with service opportunities by matching a user’s profile with the needs of partner organizations. Service opportunities posted on VividFaith are received from organizations vetted and approved by the VividFaith Oversight Committee. While VividFaith matches users with opportunities, it is not involved in the approval process of applications, the deployment of users to service locations, or in the supervision of users during the service period. VividFaith also provides a social media platform for VividFaith users that allow them to post updates of their service assignments and to communicate with one another. Additionally, VividFaith offers educational and inspirational resources to its users.
VividFaith uses the following terminology that is unique to its virtual community: a) VividFriends are registered VividFaith users who are searching for service opportunities, supporting someone who is looking for service opportunities, taking a course or learning a new skill by using VividFaith resources, or is an inactive user observing the activities of other VividFriends. b) Assignments are service opportunities that are either volunteer or paid positions. c) Service Providers are organizations with a Memorandum of Understanding with VividFaith that allow them to post their service opportunities as Assignments on VividFaith. c) Hosts are organizations are under the oversight of a Service Provider and are the location where the Assignment takes place. d) Coordinators are representatives of Service Providers who function as liaisons between VividFriends and Hosts.
VividFaith matches VividFriends with available Assignments based on information provided by Service Providers, and shall not be held liable for changes to the Assignment details that occur after the match has been made.
VividFriends are responsible for a) supplying all the documentation required when applying for an Assignment; b) controlling the privacy options of their profile that determine which portions of their profile are accessible by other VividFriends; c) being truthful and accurate when completing their profile and when applying for Assignments; d) responsible for all expenses related to an Assignment that are not explicitly stated as being included in each Assignment description.
Code of Conduct. You agree that you will not individually, or as part of any collective effort, submit or post information to this Site that could be deemed harmful or offensive to other users, nor will you impersonate another user in order to hide your identity or to implicate another in such actions. You further agree to do nothing that might disrupt the flow of data to and from this Site, impact the service or performance of this Site, or circumvent any of the controls or usage rules that we have implemented. You understand and agree that the result of harmful or offensive actions (or any other breach of these Terms of Use) may include revocation of your right to use this Site and its materials, and legal action against you.
Interactions with Others. This Site provides a platform for individuals to learn about and coordinate service opportunities. We are not a party to, have no involvement or interest in, make no representations or warranties as to, and have no responsibility or liability with respect to any communications, transactions, interactions, disputes, or any relations whatsoever between you and any other person or organization, whether or not you found or otherwise interacted with such person or organization through, or as a result of your use of, this Site.
We cannot and do not confirm the identity of any person using this Site. You are solely responsible for determining the identity and suitability of others with whom you may interact through, or as a result of using, this Site. We do not represent or warrant that this Site is sufficient to determine whether it is appropriate for you to interact with others. Further, we do not endorse any persons who use or register on this Site.
We do not investigate or verify any person’s reputation, conduct, morality, criminal background, or any information others may submit to this Site. In this regard, if, however, any person you encounter through this Site requests that you contribute money, you should notify us immediately, as this is contrary to our policy and the purpose of this Site.
User Content. We reserve the right to refuse to accept, or to remove from this Site, any User Content for any reason, such as if we believe that it may subject us to legal liability or that it may violate these Terms.

You agree that we will not be responsible or liable for any loss, cost, damage, or other liability of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings, or as the result of the presence of such parties on the services and you hereby irrevocably waive any claims against us arising from or related to your relationship with a third party.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law. The Terms constitute the entire and exclusive and final statement of the agreement between you and us with respect to the subject matter hereof, and govern your use of the services, superseding any prior agreements or negotiations between you and us with respect to the subject matter hereof.
This site is created and controlled under the laws of the State of Maryland, which shall be the law giving effect to and interpretation of all terms and conditions hereunder. Any action pertaining to this website shall be in the State of Maryland with Montgomery County the venue for such action. Any person named a party to any action regarding this Web site agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Maryland and of the United States of America located in the State of Maryland.

The General Conference is comprised of many independent Unions, which are regionally coordinated by the General Conference Divisions. The Divisions have been established as regional offices of the General Conference serving a defined geographical area. We integrate and share your information with various Unions to allow us to perform the various duties discussed above and provide you with valuable Services.
We may provide your Personal Data to third party services providers that help us with our business activities such as shipping, marketing and processing of credit cards. These companies are authorized to use your Personal Data only as necessary to provide these services to us.
If you are a denominational employee or member of an denominational organization, we may publish your profile in our directory so that other members can find you and communicate with you.
